Embark on a thrilling 3-day, 2-night jungle adventure to Maçarico, just 90 kilometers from Manaus. Experience the wonders of the Amazon rainforest while staying in a comfortable jungle lodge. The tour includes daily excursions into the jungle, providing opportunities to learn about the unique flora and fauna of the Amazon.
Your adventure begins and ends in Manaus. We’ll pick you up from your hotel on the morning of your first day and take care of all transportation throughout the tour. After the adventure, we will return you to your hotel, or another location of your choice.

Itinerary
- 8:00 a.m.: Pick-up from your hotel in Manaus. Transfer to Seasa Port and board a speedboat to cross the Amazon River. Enjoy a brief stop at the Meeting of the Waters for photos and information about this natural phenomenon.
- Arrival: Arrive at Careiro da Várzea, then transfer by van to Mamori area. Board a speedboat to reach the lodge around 11:30 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m.: Lunch at the lodge. Take some time to explore the lodge, relax, and swim in the Amazon River.
- 2:00 p.m.: Begin activities with a canoe ride for animal and bird spotting. See sloths, monkeys, and river dolphins. Try fishing for piranhas, with the option to prepare your catch for dinner.
- 6:30 p.m.: Return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner, embark on a nighttime caiman search with your guide. Learn about these prehistoric creatures before returning to the lodge for rest.
Your adventure begins with an 8:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel, setting off for Seasa Port. Here, a speedboat awaits to take you across the vast Amazon River, with a special stop at the breathtaking Meeting of the Waters. This natural wonder, where the dark Rio Negro meets the sandy-hued Rio Solimões without mixing, offers a perfect photo opportunity, along with insights into this rare phenomenon from the captain.
Crossing the Rio Solimões, you’ll reach Careiro da Várzea, a small town where a kombi van will transport you an hour down the BR319 highway to the Mamori area. From there, a final speedboat ride brings you deeper into the jungle, arriving at the lodge by 11:30 a.m. After settling in, you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch at noon, followed by time to explore the lodge, unwind, or swim in the Amazon River.
The afternoon adventure kicks off around 2:00 p.m. as you head out in traditional wooden canoes, gliding quietly through the water to spot Amazonian wildlife. With luck, you might catch sight of sloths, playful monkeys, and the mystical river dolphins known as botos. Later, you’ll try your hand at piranha fishing, and if you’re up for it, your catch can be prepared for dinner.
As the day closes, you’ll witness a stunning Amazonian sunset, returning to the lodge by 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., offering a peaceful moment to reflect on the day’s discoveries. But the excitement doesn’t end there—after dinner, you’ll embark on a nighttime adventure to search for the wild caiman. With expertise and care, your guide will catch one of these ancient creatures, allowing you an up-close look before it’s released back into the water, unharmed.
Finally, you’ll return to the lodge for a well-earned rest, ready for the adventures that await the next day.
- 5:30 a.m.: Early morning sunrise viewing. Return to the lodge for a traditional Amazonian breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
- 8:00 a.m.: Depart for a jungle trek. Travel by van to the hike’s starting point. Explore the Amazon’s flora and fauna, including pharmaceutical trees and exotic wildlife.
- 12:00 p.m.: Return to the lodge for lunch. Prepare for an afternoon of camping.
- 2:00 p.m.: Drive to a jungle camp site. Set up hammocks and mosquito nets. Enjoy a dinner prepared over an open campfire. Spend the evening stargazing and sharing stories around the campfire. Overnight in the jungle.

At 8:00 a.m., a 30-minute drive will take you to the starting point of a jungle trek. From 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., you’ll hike through the heart of the Amazon, with your guide sharing fascinating insights about the local flora and fauna. You’ll learn about medicinal trees, vines, and leaves, discovering the jungle’s natural pharmacy. With luck, you might encounter monkeys, sloths, snakes, tarantulas, dart frogs, and countless other unique creatures along the way.
Returning to the lodge, you’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch at noon and have time to prepare for the next adventure. At 2:00 p.m., you’ll head deeper into the jungle, driving 40 minutes to a remote campsite. Here, you’ll learn how to set up hammocks and secure mosquito nets, creating a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
Dinner will be a truly authentic experience, with options for vegetarians to try the edible fruits and vegetables of the jungle. For those seeking a more traditional Amazonian experience, spear-fishing will provide the night’s catch. An open campfire serves as both the kitchen and the heart of the camp, where stories of Amazonian culture come to life under the stars.
You’ll drift off to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, immersed in one of the most unforgettable nights the Amazon has to offer.

- 11:30 a.m.: Return to the lodge for lunch. Afterward, prepare for departure.
- 2:00 p.m.: Leave the lodge and return to Manaus. Arrive back at your hotel around 4:00 p.m., concluding the tour.

The afternoon offers time to relax and pack up before your journey back to Manaus, departing at 2:00 p.m. By 4:00 p.m., you’ll arrive at Seasa Port, where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel, bringing your Amazon adventure to a close.
